慶応義塾卒後、米ハーバード大学に学び、福沢諭吉の時事新報社を経て

三井銀行（現・三井住友銀行）入行。

昭和8年、三井合名常務理事に就任して三井改革を

断行。

三井財閥近代化に功績を残した。

昭和12年、日銀総裁。(金本位制をはじめて行う)

日本にある金GOLDを海外に分散保管を行う。

昭和13年、大蔵大臣（現・財務大臣）兼商工大臣。

枢密院(現皇宮警察)最高責任者兼法務大臣。

83歳で没。

著書に「私の人生観」他。なお成彬の名は本来「しげあき」と呼ぶが、本人は「せいひん」を名乗った。

- 昭和25年（1950年）10月9日）は、

戦前の政治家、財界人。

第14代日本銀行総裁、大蔵大臣兼商工大臣、

内閣参議（第一次近衛内閣・平沼内閣・第2次近衛内閣）、枢密顧問官（東條内閣）、

三井合名会社筆頭常務理事（事実上の三井財閥総帥）を歴任。

平沼内閣が潰れると、天皇と元老・西園寺公望から
首相打診があったが陸軍が阿部信行を推したため立ち消えとなり

池田成彬は「幻の首相」となった。

⬛︎白洲次郎が"おっかなかった"と語った池田成彬は、

迫力あるその人生(！)と言っていた。

慶応3年（1867年）、米沢藩士・池田成章の長男

山形県米沢市。

米沢中学（現・米沢興譲館高校）を経て、慶應義塾別科、慶應義塾理財科に入学。

明治23年（1890年）ハーバード大学へ留学。

帰国後、福沢諭吉に誘われて時事新報社に入社するが、

報酬があまりにも少ない為、2週間で辞めてから、

当時、三井最高責任者の総帥からスカウトされ

三井銀行に入行。

その後、三井の筆頭理事最高責任者に総帥に登り詰めた後、

日銀総裁、
枢密院(現在皇宮警察)最高責任者兼法務大臣

(天皇直轄諮問機関)、大蔵大臣などを務めた。

戦後、公職追放を受けて、大磯に引きこもり隠遁。

吉田茂の経済政策指南役を務めた後、

昭和25年（1950年）、享年83歳で没・・・没後、

半世紀以上経つ今となっては、なかなか、知る人もいないでしょうか。

祖父池田成彬ですが、実は、時の三井の大実力者にして、
